Objectives

This is a limited-hour position with the Dickinson Museum Center as a weekend attendant. The successful applicant will work primarily in the Gift Shop and will also be the lead worker over Seasonal Staff.
Hours are Saturdays, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (year-round). From Memorial Day to Labor Day, this position will also work on Sundays, 11:30 am – 5:00 pm with the possibility of filling in for full-time staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):
-Oversees and operates computerized cash register;
-Performs direct sales and customer service;
-Maintains area stock and visual merchandising;
-Maintains general cleanliness of the facility;
-Greets and processes group admissions;
-Answers and directs incoming phone calls;
-Maintains lost and found items as needed;
-Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

-Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid Driver’s License.
-Must pass a pre-employment drug test, reference checks, and background check.

Desirable Training and Experience

-HS Diploma or GED;
-Up to 2 years of experience working in retail (museum gift shop preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
