Dickinson City Administrator Shawn Kessel has recently accepted a similar position in a community closer to family. Mr. Kessel has served the City of Dickinson for over nine years. During that time, the City has experienced historic expansion, economically and in population gain in the community. During this growth Mr. Kessel has been a strong supporter of community initiatives and actively worked with other community leaders to bring conscientious growth to our community. His endeavors contributed to the numerous national recognitions the City of Dickinson has received during his tenure. While the City will miss the experience and guidance Mr. Kessel has provided we are confident that our City staff will continue to provide excellent service to our community. The City Commission will meet soon to discuss the transition plan for the vacancy left by Mr. Kessel’s departure. On behalf of the City, I would like to thank Mr. Kessel for his tireless service to our community and wish him good fortune in his future endeavors.
