Winter Storm Operations – April 23, 2022

April 23, 2022

The Interstate is closed to the west of Dickinson as of 4:30pm and has a No Travel Advisory from Dickinson to Glen Ullin (mile marker 110). Street crews are currently clearing the BAC parking lot for semi-truck overflow as well as continuing to plow the Priority Level 1 and Level 2 Routes to keep routes open for emergency services. To aid in the safe and efficient snow control effort, drivers are requested to provide a safe interval of at least 100 feet between their vehicle and snow control equipment. Drivers are also requested to not pass operating snow removal equipment.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a No Travel Advisory for the City of Dickinson. As the storm progresses, monitor local media and the City of Dickinson social media platforms for travel advisories and restrictions. Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. Notify a friend or family member of your travel plans. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5-1-1 or visiting https://travel.dot.nd.gov

If you live along an emergency snow route, please move your vehicles from the street now. This greatly assists road crews in keeping vital roadways open for emergency vehicle response.

Consider downloading the Dickinson Works app from the App store or Google Play to get the latest information regarding snow routes and removal status. Additionally, monitor our social media pages for updates.
