Loretta A. Marshik is a resident of Dickinson, North Dakota and is currently the Assistant City Engineer. She believes that infrastructure is the backbone of any successful community and is rewarded by providing positive impacts on the quality of everyday life.
Ms. Marshik is a Certified Floodplain Manager, acquiring admittance for the city in FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program’s Community Rating System in 2018, thus allowing a reduction in cost for new flood insurance policies for property owners in the city. Her previous experience encompassed Heavy Highway and Light Rail design work; Municipal Engineering; Commercial, Industrial, and Residential Development design. She holds an A.S. degree in Engineering Technology and a B.S. degree in Mathematics with a Minor in Global Information Systems from Dickinson State University.
Loretta currently serves on the board of the DSU Rodeo Council, she is a founding member of the Dickinson Chapter of Power of 100 Women Who Care, a 4-H Adult Leader for Stark-Billings & Dunn Counties in the Horse Program, and a member of the following organizations; P.E.O. Chapter AD, American Legion Auxiliary Post 602, the NHBA, APWA, ASCE, and ASFPM.
