The 9th Annual Opportunities in Agriculture event will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the Biesiot Activities Center here in Dickinson from 1 – 4:30 p.m. MT (TIMES CHANGED DUE TO COVID). Our keynote speaker this year is Jeremy Huether, a Dickinson State University (DSU) alum. He will focus his presentation on how to incorporate technology into agriculture, look forward to what’s next in agriculture, and stay current with technology trends. This event is free and open to the public.
As of now, this event will be held in-person. Masks will be required for event attendees and social distancing encouraged. However, in the event that the global pandemic necessitates changes in how in-person events are held, this event WILL be held virtually.
The DSU Department of Agriculture and Technical Studies initiated this event to connect students with agricultural businesses/agencies in the region so they can network and make connections for future opportunities. Another goal of our event is to ensure students are informed about opportunities at graduate schools in the region. Lastly, this event also serves as a forum for DSU’s agriculture seniors to present their senior capstone projects, which includes both an oral and poster presentation at the event.
Please let us know if you have any questions. 701-483-2185 or annika.plummer@dickinsonstate.edu. Hope to see you November 18!
