Administrative Services consists of a variety of departments that are housed primarily in City Hall and serve the public by focusing on direct interactions with the public or by providing support services to the other city departments. The Administration Department provides administrative and managerial services to other city departments as directed by the Dickinson City Commission. The Administration Department is in charge of presenting recommendations and information to the City Commission to enable them to make informed decisions on matters of policy. In addition, the Administration Department is responsible for maintaining a sound fiscal position for the City of Dickinson through the preparation of the City’s annual budget. Furthermore, the Administration Department responds promptly and positively to all inquiries and requests of the citizens of Dickinson.

The City Assessing staff consists of the City Assessor, Senior Property Appraiser, Property Appraiser and two Property Appraiser Technicians.

The City Finance Department is directed by Linda Carlson, Deputy City Administrator for Finance and Administration. The City accounting staff consists of Budget Specialist Robert Morey, Accountant Samantha Schwindt, Payroll Specialist Erin McMahen, and Accounting Tech Marlease Rambousek.

The City IT Department is directed by Aaron Meyer, IT Manager. The City IT staff consists of Advanced Computer Technician, Jacob Clouse and Computer Technician Desiree Havelka.
The IT Department is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting all hardware, software, and network devices for all City Operations. In addition to maintaining the city’s IT infrastructure, the IT Staff are responsible for updating the City’s website and Channel 19, as well as all other electronic media outlets providing information to the public.

The City’s Safety Program is managed by Greg Beck, who is responsible for reviewing and investigating all safety incidents that involve city personnel or equipment.

The Utility Billing Department is responsible for creating and maintaining citizen’s city utility accounts, creating and sending out utility bills, as well as processing payments for citizen’s city utility bills.
Furthermore, the Utility Billing Department can assist citizens in obtaining bike and pet licenses.
